WHITEHAVEN BEACH

World Renowned, but exclusive

Just reading the name conjures up images in your mind that make you want to go there. And Whitehaven Beach lives up to the promise in its name. Kilometres of perfect white sand beaches wind their way around thin wedges of land with greenery and natural rainforest in the middle. And around it all sits the type of clear, turquoise water that only exists in a handful of locations in the world.

World-Renowned, But Exclusive

The sand and the sea of Whitehaven Beach are world-renowned. But for all of that notoriety, at Whitsunday Islands Luxe Charters we find that most of our guests are surprised to find out just how few people actually set foot on these unspoiled beaches and swim in the warm, clear water each year.

Part of that comes from being a good, long distance from any capital city. Those who come here are really seeking out a one of a kind experience. In addition, the local community and businesses have worked hard to make sure that visitors leave the place just as they found it. Eco-certifications for tours and other activities help to achieve this goal.

That means that when you visit, you will be seeing what you see in the incredible photos that this destination produces year after year.

Whitehavens Unique Beauty

If youve stepped foot on any beach without thongs on, youll know that the sun gets pretty hot underfoot. Not at Whitehaven. One of the most curious and remarked upon features of this beach is the fact that the sand is cool to the touch, even on the warmest north Queensland days.

How is that possible?

Its because of the silica. Most of the sand on this iconic beach is made up of silica. Thats why the almost seven kilometres of pure white sand is the colour it is, and also why it actually doesnt absorb heat.

You can observe this unique beauty by walking along the beach, from the deck of your Whitsunday luxury yacht charter, or by taking a stroll up to one of the lookout perches above the waterline. Hill Inlet lookout is a popular spot, where the lazy waves of the natural sandbars and beach can be seen clearly at any time of the day.

EXPLORING WHITEHAVEN BEACH

We admit to being a little bit biased on this one, but from what our guests have told us, the best way to truly appreciate everything this gem of the Whitsundays has to offer is to ex-perience it by boat.

 How else could you better:

•      take in the crystal clear, stunning blue of the water from horizon to horizon when you first woke up,

•      before exploring during the middle parts of the day,

•      then returning to the decks of your luxury yacht in the mid-afternoon to catch up with friends or spend time with your partner over drinks and some fresh seafood?

Oh, and the best part about that whole amazing plan? If you were on your own luxury yacht, with a custom-designed itinerary for seeing the Whitsundays and Whitehaven Beach, you could do it all again the next day.

Our experienced and friendly Whitsunday superyacht charters team has been helping groups put together private charters on our fleet of world-class luxury superyachts for years now. We also take care of all the ‘extra’ activity bookings and reservations for you. All you have to do is turn up with your bags in hand and look forward to experiencing how the week unfolds. It’s about allowing us to give you and your group an experience of proper VIP luxury.

The beauty of the water, sand and wildlife of Whitehaven Beach is world class. Enjoy it in a world-class way on a Whitsunday luxury yacht charter.
