Upon securing your exclusive vessel with Whitsunday Islands Luxe Charters, you will be given the choice of embarking/disembarking at either Hamilton Island Marina located on Hamilton Island or the Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach. We always recommend to our clients to embark and disembark from Hamilton Island Marina, this is due to Hamilton Island’s location in already being 16 nautical miles off the Whitsunday Coast and gives the client the added advantage of using precious time onboard. As an example, if guests embark at 10:00am from Hamilton Island Marina, this can place us at Whitehaven Beach within 30 minutes, with swimming and snorkelling before lunch is served at 12pm, whereas coming from the Coral Sea Marina, the journey to Whitehaven will take us approx 1.5 hours. Hamilton Island is really the gateway to exploring the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. 

Hamilton Island Marina 

Hamilton Island Marina is situated on Hamilton Island, the largest inhabited island in the Whitsundays. It’s conveniently located near the Great Barrier Reef, Whitehaven Beach and other popular nearby locations – making it the ideal choice to embark/disembark your live aboard journey. Domestic flights are easily accessible to Hamilton Island from any major city in Australia. The journey to Hamilton Island Airport to the Marina will take approx 8 minutes via our marina concierge team – all free of cost. 

HAMILTON ISLAND

Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach 

In order to start your charter journery from the Coral Sea Marina, you will need to fly into the Whitsunday Coast Airport ( Proserpine Airport). The journey is 38km and takes roughly 40-45 minutes, depending on the traffic. You may make your transfer via a shittle service or taxi. The Coral Sea Marina is situated in Airlie Beach, the main gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. It is located close to the shops, resturants and accomodation options, making your journey to your vessel a straight forward and convenient journey.
